Creating a secure and efficient working environment using office automation.

摘要

In this thesis, a model office is designed, built and automated, implementing the essential features of an automated system. A solution is proposed and executed to enhance the security of the overall system. The system is composed of an Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC, a printed circuit board, a model office and required electronic components. The software was developed in Rockwell RSLogix 5000, PLC programming software built for Windows, using ladder logic, function block, structured text and sequential function chart programming, revealing its object oriented capabilities. The graphical user interface (GUI) was developed in Rockwell RSView32, a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software product for Windows. Rockwell RSLinx, a communication server providing device connectivity, was used for the networking needs. A wide variety of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) are integrated into RSView32 to meet the requirements.; The complete automation system is controlled and monitored by the user from the graphical interface developed and run on a touch-screen monitor.
