revious research on adoption of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) technology has identified qualitative benefits which are difficult to quantify. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the economic benefits and non-technological barriers of full reliance on the EPR. This research focused on the dual (electronic and paper) Laboratory and Medical Imaging results process at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre.
