In several plastics applications the aesthetics play an important role in the final product's quality control. Currently, color homogeneity and color distribution are subject of attention within the compounding industry. New melt compounding technologies including multi-screw high screw speed extruders are being developed to improve the process efficiency but comprehensive data is still needed to determine the efficiency of these equipment. In order to understand the effect of the screw speed and the feeding rate on the mixing quality and the materials rheological properties, a TPU and a Pe-b-a resin were compounded with 0.5% of powdered Phthalo green
