Brunfelsia densifolia Krug & Urb. (Solanaceae) is a rare plant, endemic to the Maricao Forest Reserve, of which very little is known. A search for individuals was carried out in the forest, and a study was conducted of its population structure, its reproductive phenology, its environment, and whether phenotypic differences could exist among the populations inside the forest. Recommendations were made relating to the species' conservation, based on an evaluation that was made using IUCN criteria.;More than 70% of the population consisted of seedlings and only 35 juveniles were counted. Of 109 mature individuals that were counted, only 58.7% produced reproductive structures. Significant differences were found in the length-width ratio of the leaves among the populations, indicating a phenotypic difference. The survival of the seedlings and juveniles is high during the period of sampling but the perspective changes upon analyzing the population data. The production of flowers is very synchronous and its peak is limited to a couple of weeks during the rainy season. The number of mature fruits was very low even during the peak and was also presented during the rainy season.
