实用新型专利说明书的翻译实践报告

摘要

专利说明书是专利申请人向国家专利授予机构申请专利权时必须提交的重要法律文件，也是专利授权后专利权保护范围的唯一法律凭据。随着我国改革开放的不断深人，越来越多的企业认识到拥有知识产权的重要性，不少企业和个人开始向国外申请专利。因此，专利说明书的翻译在近年来的社会需求量呈明显上升趋势，对专利说明书翻译质量的要求也越来越高。本文从功能目的论出发，对专利说明书的翻译进行分析，将功能目的论的三原则运用到专利说明书的翻译中，结合笔者的翻译实践，提出了专利说明书的翻译策略。
　　本文是基于七份实用新型专利说明书的翻译写成的翻译实践报告，共分为五章。第一章介绍了当前专利说明书翻译的背景和意义，分析了中英文专利说明书的文体特点并加以比较。第二章描述了译前的准备、翻译过程、时间安排和质量控制。第三章简要介绍了功能目的论及其在专利文本翻译中的应用。第四章为案例分析，结合大量的翻译实例，分析了在功能目的论的指导下专利说明书的翻译方法。第五章总结了在专利说明书翻译过程中遇到的实践经验，并指出了翻译实践中遇到的问题。
　　笔者希望本篇报告所作的研究能够为专利说明书的翻译研究提供一定的借鉴。
