框架语义学在翻译中意义空白填补的应用——《边城》两英译本的对比分析

摘要

语言由于自身的局限性和经济原则在交际过程中不可能把所有的内容都表现出来，总是部分被选择保留或者放弃，因此不可避免地造成意义空白。翻译是原文作者，译者，读者共同参与的多边互动的信息传递活动。如何处理意义空白创造出符合目的语特色满足读者期待的译文，成为一个值得探讨的问题。
　　 框架语义学提供了一个以经验为基础的百科式知识网络。语言表达式充当整个框架的激活器，激活的框架意味着框架内各空位被概念或实际情景中的实体所填充。本文将此理论引入翻译研究中，以《边城》的两英译本为例，结合理论进行比较研究，试图从心里层面探讨框架语义学对翻译中意义空白填补的应用，同时期望为翻译研究提供新的视角。
　　 论文共分为5章。第一章对研究的背景，目的，意义以及论文整体结构进行了介绍。第二章为文献综述，回顾了框架语义学起源与发展，简单叙述框架语义学对翻译研究的现状；同时详细阐述框架的内涵和翻译中的意义空白，将两者在理论上进行紧密结合。第三章是框架语义学在《边城》两个英译本的应用。首先介绍《边城》作品地位，选作语料因为，它的翻译研究和英译本，然后分别从语言结构，意义构建，文化三个方面通过比较分析用框架语义学理论探讨案例中意义空白问题。第四章在前一章的实践应用基础上提出翻译中空白填补的三个策略，并以语料辅助解释。最后一章总结全文并提出对此理论进一步研究的建议。
