合作原则视角下《小妇人》中的会话含义分析

摘要

《小妇人》是美国作家露意莎·梅·奥尔柯特最著名的作品。该作品通过描述南北战争期间马奇一家的生活与四位女儿的爱情故事，反映了当时美国女性对职业和家庭选择的心声，为美国超验主义的发展做出杰出贡献。
　　本文从语用学的角度出发，以格赖斯的合作原则为理论基础，用个案分析的方式，讨论《小妇人》中人物违反合作原则后，所产生的会话含义和人物的潜在意图，为人物语言研究提供新的视角。
　　本文回顾了国内外关于合作原则以及小说《小妇人》的研究，从而说明本论文以新的视角—违反合作原则对《小妇人》进行会话含义分析的可行性。论文阐述了会话含义的提出和定义，探讨了会话含义与合作原作关系，简述了本研究所运用的理论框架—格莱斯的合作原则以及其四项准则，并用具体例子揭示了违反合作原则所产生的会话含义。本研究从《小妇人》中选出45个典型对话，详细分析了其中违背数量准则、质量准则、关系准则、方式准则、所产生的会话含义。
　　本论文得出结论:首先，格赖斯的合作原则理论及其四大准则可以有效地运用于人物话语分析;其次，从45个典型对话的分析发现，人物会话中故意违反合作原则，会表达不同的会话含义，传达隐含的会话意图。第三，本文从小说违反四大原则的话语分析中发现，违反数量原则和方式原则要超出其它两项原则;通过统计四大主人公违反合作原则的次数中发现，性格越复杂，违反合作原则更频繁。最后，本文通过分析该小说中的会话含义，从语用学的角度揭示《小妇人》中人物性格和小说主题。
