把英语作为第二语言的中国大学生学习策略研究：研究语言熟练度和学科专业

摘要

语言水平和学科专业经常被看作影响语言学习者选择语言学习策略的两个主要因素。但是，实证研究表明这两个因素产生了不一致的结果。 本研究的目的是探讨把英语作为第二语言(ESL)的中国大学生使用语言学习策略在语言能力和专业上的效果。这项研究特别着重于找出在使用语言学习策略时不同英语水平的学生和不同学术专业的学生是否有显著差异。本次研究抽取了中国大学生社会科学和基础科学共53名学生作为研究对象，用了略作修改的牛津语言学习策略量表测量学习策略的使用及使用大学英语四级成绩衡量学生的英语水平。从收集的数据研究分析看出，不同的英语水平与不同的专业的学生在使用英语学习策略并无显著差异。然而，试验结果显示在三种不同的英语水平的学生使用的认知策略和补偿策略上却有显著差异，同样地，文科专业和理工科专业的学生在使用元认知策略和社会策略时也有显著差异。除此之外，还论证了不同英语水平和不同专业的学生最多使用和最少使用的学习策略。这些讨论都是基于前人研究的基础在本研究中也提出了对教学的一些想法，希望能帮助中国的英语老师利用恰当的英语学习策略去指导学生的英语学习。
