TEM4“语法与词汇”题的测试效度及反拨作用研究--以2009--2013年真题为例

摘要

英语专业四级考试(TEM4)是我国目前规模最大的官方外语测试之一。研究者们对这一测试进行了大量的研究，但是绝大部分只致力于测试效度或反拨作用其中一个方面的研究，而本研究则将两者结合起来。 在测试效度研究中，本研究以2009-2013年真题测试中的“语法和词汇”题型为样本，从三个方面对英语专业四级考试的内容效度进行研究，具体研究问题是:1）测试内容和测试目标是否相关？2）测试内容是否具有代表性？3）测试内容是否适合被测试者的水平？本研究还从以下四个方面探讨英语专业四级考试对基础阶段英语专业的反拨作用:1）英语专业四级考试对师生心理层面的影响;2）师生对于英语专业四级考试的态度;3）英语专业四级考试对教与学分别产生的正面和负面反拨效应;4）英语专业四级考试对不同教师和学生分别产生的反拨作用的差异性。 研究结果表明，英语专业四级考试“语法和词汇”题型具有较高的效度。该测试对师生的心理层面都产生了影响，给教师带来动力而非压力和焦虑;对学生而言，动力与压力并存，但前者更甚。师生对于英语专业四级考试在教学评估和学业评估中的作用均持有正确的观念。英语专业四级考试在内容和方法上都对师生活动产生了正面反拨作用，提高了学生的语言综合运用能力;其负面影响是当考试临近时，师生均会采取相应的应试行为。英语专业四级考试对师生产生不同的影响。该测试对教师的反拨作用因教师的个人背景不同而有所差异，对语言功底不同的学生产生的反拨作用也不同。 基于本研究结果，本论文为教师和学生提供了启示。教师和学生都应该进一步发挥英语专业四级考试正面反拨效应的作用。
