英汉句法歧义认知对比研究

摘要

句法歧义在英汉这两种语言中是非常常见的语言现象。到目前为止，国内外有关英汉句法歧义结构的对比研究非常少见，从认知角度来阐释英汉句法歧义的相关研究几乎没有。所以，本论文试图从认知的角度就英语中的句法歧义和汉语中的句法歧义展开对比研究。 本文运用语言学的对比研究和归纳法的研究方法，以句法歧义为研究对象，着重地对英汉这两种语言中的句法歧义结构进行综合对比和研究，并且找出英汉这两种语言中的句法歧义结构的共性和个性，从而对其进行认知阐释。本研究旨在回答三个问题:1）英汉句法歧义结构的共性体现在哪几个方面;2）英汉句法歧义结构的个性体现在哪几个方面;3）英汉句法歧义结构产生的认知动因是什么。 通过对英汉句法歧义结构的综合对比和研究，本文的研究结果可以从以下三点概括:(1)通过对英汉句法歧义结构的详细对比研究，可以发现英汉句法歧义结构存在着一定的共性。由于多重式定中结构中不明确的层次修饰关系，体词化结构中的不明确的语义关系，并列结构中粘合程度不同，动词功能不同，否定结构中不明确的语义辖域和模糊不清的否定焦点触发的句法歧义在英语和汉语这两种语言中是普遍存在的，这五个方面可以归纳为英汉句法歧义的共性。(2)在英语和汉语这两种语言中，英汉句法歧义结构又各自存在着不同的个性，由于后置型定中结构不明确的修饰关系，后置介词短语的功能不明确，英语比较句型中不明确的省略触发的句法歧义在英语中大量存在，这三个方面可以总结为英语句法歧义的个性。由于不明确的动宾补结构和不明确的动宾结构触发的句法歧义是汉语句法歧义的个性。(3)为了探讨英汉句法歧义的产生的认知动因，本文运用了认知语法中意象理论中的突显原则中的两对概念:侧面和基体，射体和界标对英语句法歧义进行了认知阐释，同时运用意象图式的相关理论来阐述了汉语句法歧义结构，成功论证了句法歧义结构来源于人们对事物的不同认知，与人们的经验结构，认知方式，百科知识有着密切的关系。
