摘要

高职院校英语教学课堂中,传统教学与创新教学并存,传统教学法与多媒体创新教学法并存。在教学方法的具体实施过程中,英语教师的角色对教学效果有着十分重要的影响。
   本文以建构主义与角色理论为理论基础,针对高职院校英语教学的现状,通过对广州两所高职高专院校的40名英语教师和200名大二英语专业学生进行问卷调查,教师访谈,课堂观摩,大学英语四级考试结果分析等方法,利用百分比对结果进行分析,旨在了解我国高职院校传统英语教学与多媒体创新教学的现状及存在问题,进一步分析高职院校英语教师的角色定位并提出相应策略。
   数据分析和观察记录显示,大多数学生和教师更倾向于多媒体创新教学方法和手段,但由于多媒体教学设备不足及教师多媒体教学手段运用能力欠缺等问题,多媒体创新教学还不能完全满足创新教学的需求。此外,大学英语四级考试结果分析表明传统英语教学在阅读和写作能力的培养方面依然存在优势。由此,笔者提出,教师要针对实际教学现状调整教师角色,并且提出传统英语教学与创新英语教学相结合更适合目前的高职英语教学的要求。
   本研究结果对我国的高职英语教学及今后的研究有一定的实用价值。所提出的我国高职英语教师角色定位的具体要求与策略,为英语教学提供了有价值的参考。
