Integrated Transaction Management (ITM) — A Software Solution For The Financial Transaction Processing

This paper presents Integrated Transaction Management (ITM), a software solution for the financial transaction processing, developed and implemented by Euronet Worldwide Inc. When ITM was designed, the question asked was how to build a solution that would endure over time. Technology changes rapidly, but foundations must endure. Enterprises and institutions are challenged in choosing the course that will have long term benefit. The task set forth was to build a foundation that would stay ahead of the wave. The experience in the banking software industry indicated that although client and banking customer's expectations change, basic banking functions endure. There are certain operational functions that are continual in the stream of the technological change. ITM is designed to support the business functionality while allowing for change.
