A Data Implementation Scheme for Mapping Objects to Relational Databases

This paper addresses the problem of representing an object-oriented database using a relational database engine. It introduces a data implementation model used for mapping objects to relational databases, resolving the problem caused by the mismatch between the two paradigms. The main focus of the paper is on storing and retrieving the functions members of an object. The data model used introduces a method for storing the functions of an object together with their arguments.
