Using a statistical method based on the relationship between the East Asian westerly jet stream in winter and the Western Pacific subtropical high we have made the monthly and seasonal forecast of the precipitation and temperature anomalies over East China. The customized agricultural weather forecast has been made from the output of a one-dimensional canopy climate model developed by the Weeronline. In addition to the weather forecast, the disease pressure of some crops, such as potato, barley, wheat, sugar beet and bulb during the last two days, for today and for the comign two days has also been provided to the European farmers.
