1 PrefaceBecause of the advantages of long life duration, good by-pass seepage resistance and moreactual experience, the copper waterstop is adopted as a basic waterstop structure of hydraulicbuilding at home and abroad wildly. Meanwhile, its shortages are the bad aseismic performance,poor shearing resistance and higher cost. The permeability of copper waterstop structure depends on two preconditions. Firstly, itself nocrack under the action of water pressure and joint movement; secondly, no peeling off betweencopper sheet and concrete further.
