At Witels-Albert GmbH, customized straightening equipment is always designed with a view to specific requirements, and is implemented efficiently through the use of up-to-date tools. This paper gives an overview of the steps involved in the process of realizing customized solutions. Actual examples from the shop floor are explained, and show the necessity of custom-tailored equipment for specific processes, machines and products, which may be, in most cases, the standard of tomorrow.
