摘要

High precision drive systems are used in manufacturing and measuring machines. They have to fulfil mutually contradictory positioning requirements like high resolution, large positioning range, high stiffness, low friction, self locking and so on. Further on, a high degree of efficiency is requiredrnto reduce power loss and heat introduction into the system. In state of the art positioning systems gearless drives are often used in order to eliminate play and friction and to increase stiffness of the positioning system by omitting transmission mechanisms.
