摘要

The paper extends to three dimensions a previously described two dimensional finite element analysis of non-linear water waves interacting with bodies. The domain decomposition method is used to divide the computational domain into manageable regions, in each of which the computation is performed independently of the other regions. Results are given for standing waves in a rectangular container; waves generated by a wave maker in a rectangular tank; and the interaction between such waves and a vertical cylinder.
