摘要

The main conclusions obtained are as follows; (1) Compared with the high cutting speed, the surface roughness formed by the ultra-precision cutting of titanium alloy at the low cutting speed with coated-cemented-carbide is remarkably small. (2) In the high depth of cut over 100 micrometers, the surface roughness formed at the extremely low cutting speed attains 100 nm(Rz). (3) At low cutting speed, the tool wear becomes considerably a little. Under extremely low cutting speed of V < 1 m/min, the wear at the depth of cut of d = 1,000 micrometers is less than that at the depth of cut of d = 5 micrometers under high cutting speed V = 88-110 m/min.
