To clarify the temporal features of camphor leaves moving in the wind, sequential visual images of their movements were recorded. They are analyzed by the autocorrelation function (ACF) and the cross-correlation function (CCF). In order to discuss the preferred temporal properties of sequential images, paired-comparison tests of the analyzed images were conducted. The scale values of the preferences may not be simply described by the wind speed only. A remarkable finding obtained here, however, is that the most preferred condition is found around 0.3 s of the effective duration of the ACF.
