摘要

The improvement in vision expected from an ideal contact lens that corrects higher-order aberrations as well as defocus and astigmatism will be limited by lens decentration. In this paper, we computed the effect on image quality expected when an ideal contact lens translates or rotates on the eye. Typical movements will reduce the optical benefit expected from an ideal contact lens only slightly. Depending on the amount of decentration, certain aberrations are most beneficial to correct.
