Quantitative analysis of tracer data using momentrnanalysis requires a strict adherence to a set of rulesrnwhich include data normalization, correction forrnthermal decay, deconvolution, extrapolation, andrnintegration. If done correctly, the method yieldsrnspecific information on swept pore volume, flowrngeometry and fluid velocity, and an understanding ofrnthe nature of reservoir boundaries. All calculationsrnrequired for the interpretation can be done in arnspreadsheet.rnThe steps required for moment analysis are reviewedrnin this paper. Data taken from the literature is used inrnan example calculation.
