Dynamics of geometry adaptive truss with wire member actuators is studied by means of simulation. The most important characteristics of wire members that we have to pay attention is the lack of rigidity against any compressive force; the geometry adaptive truss with wire members inevitably has a statically indeterminate topology in order to be a stable structure under various mechanical conditions. The equation of motion and a numerical integration technique based on the Newmark β method are developed in order to take the wire member characteristics as well as the statical indeterminacy into account. Dynamic simulations are conducted and the influence of the wire member characteristics is confirmed. We also examine the influence of error in kinematic motion on the dynamic behavior of adaptive truss with wire members; its significant influence is demonstrated and the sensitivity of dynamic behavior to the error magnitude is also confirmed.
