The synthesis of the radiation pattern for linear antenna arrays with many constraints is a non-linear optimization problem which is very difficult to solve using methods based on deterministic rules because they are vulnerable to local minima problems. O e possible solution is to use Genetic Algorithms. In this article two methods for the synthesis of the complex radiationpattern of a linear array antenna based on GAs are discussed.
