摘要

The great Paleozoic-Mesozoic transition is characterized not only by the largest mass extinction at the end of Permian but also by the prolonged biotic recovery in the Early Triassic. Furthermore, the mass extinction happened synchronously in the sea and on land (Twitchett et al., 2001), and ultimately it ended the Paleozoic marine ecosystems lasting over 200 Myr (Erwin, 1993). From the mass extinction the Early Triassic recovery was clearly longer than those following other Phanerozoic extinctions (Erwin, 1998).
