摘要

This study was to focus on the effects of short-term iodine deficiency and excess on thyroid morphology and function.Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups,and diet and drink were controlled to meet different iodine intake.After 7 days rats were sacrificed,and serum thyroid hormone were determined.Thyroid glands were removed for morphology observation.Result indicated that 7-days low iodine diet resulted in obvious change in serum thyroid hormone and thyroid morphology ;thyroid hyperplasia of small follicle was due to the increase of TSH by feedback of pituitary-thyroid axis,but body was in compensatory stage.There was not obvious difference between high iodine groups and normal iodine group,which indicated that thyroid may have stronger tolerance to iodine excess.
