New Fluorochemical Technology for Protective Textile Finishes

摘要

Fluorochemical materials useful in the textile industry have historically been based onrnperfluorinated C8 monomers, manufactured by electrochemical fluorination or telomericrnprocesses. New technology has been developed for protective finishes that provide stainrnrelease and/or repellency without the need for monomers. The performance of these newrnmaterials will be presented, along with information on their environmental and health profiles.
