Thermoelectric Properties of Eu-doped CoSb_3

Resistivity and thermopower data is presented on Eu-doped CoSb_3 skutterudites over the temperature range of 10 K to 700 K. Thermal conductivity is also presented from 10 K to 300 K in order to detennine the figure of merit. Eu_(0.43)Co_4Sb_(11.59)Ge_(0.31) and Eu_(0.42)Co_4Sb_(11.37)Ge_(0.50) exhibit an enhanced figure of merit as compared to CoSb_3 and Eu_(0.2)CoSb_3. Data on a series of Yb-filled CoSb_3 is underway and preliminary data is presented.
