Alongside the single-skin solar modules, Thyssen Bausysteme has taken another major leap forwards into v the future with its new sandwich element THYSSEN-thermodach~(~R) Solartec: a specially-developed double-skin lightweight steel element with a high-quality and CFC and H-CFC free PUR high-resistance foam system for the heat insulation of the building serves as supporting material for the solar laminate. This product unites power generation, the taking of loads, space enclosing and heat insulation all in one element. Thyssen Bausysteme has combined its more than 30 years' experience in the production of Thermodach and Thermowand elements with the single-skin photovoltaic system THYSSEN-Solartec~(~R). The advantage is clear for the client - fast and safe cladding including heat insulation and a considerable contribution to the reduction of CO_2 emissions. Solar technology is going to be a fixed part of our energy supply in the future. It is an indispensable aid for the reduction of CO_2 emissions. A modern, high-quality solar system - based on the material steel - offers many advantages over regular systems from an economical and an ecological perspective. We want solar elements to be used as simply and naturally as conventional roofing and facade systems. Steel is helping us in our endeavours.
