Training new engineers for any industry is not an easy task. Itrnis also the most important task for the company to invest effortrnand money in, because the new engineers today will be thernmanagers of the future.rnIncapable engineers with insufficient backgrounds in trainingrnwill therefore lead the company to make disastrous mistakes inrnplanning and management. Consequently, it is important to putrnserious efforts into training new engineers by appointing eitherrnthe right training staff within the company, or the rightrncompany responsible for managing the training plans in detail.rnTraining plans should be reviewed by both sides. Therncompany “that the engineer belongs to” should identify thernright position for the engineer in the company. This is not arnone-sided decision and should rather be made by involving thernengineer. The engineer should have a taste of the position andrnenjoy doing the work. The company, on the other hand,rnshould ensure that the position suits the engineer.rnKnowledge of the company’s heritage by the employees is asrnimportant as their tasks. Knowing the company’s structurernhelps an employee recognize their position within therncompany.rnA new employee should be advised that their education shouldrnstart from day one in the company by keeping up to date withrnthe latest research and studies conducted all over the world.rnIn this paper, a detailed plan for training new engineers,rnphases a company should follow for training, what supervisorsrnshould be looking for, and how to periodically improverntraining programmess are addressed.
