This paper presents an analytical solution for the steady-staternflow problem for the anisotropic permeability measurement. Itrnalso describes a practical procedure that implements thernsolution to evaluate permeability anisotropy. The procedurernrequires a few steady-state measurements of flow rates andrnpressure drops at different directions from which thernmaximum and minimum permeability values and theirrndirections can be determined. The application of the newrnsolution and the proposed method is demonstrated byrnmeasurements on whole core samples. Comparison betweenrnresults obtained using the new solution for the anisotropic casernand the existing solution for the isotropic case is discussed.
