Target tracking glossary of the SDI Panels on Tracking

Abstract: Tracking under challenging conditions is a relative new field. Challenging conditions include target maneuvers, close multiple targets or excessive false signals. As in any rapidly growing field, many terms are used in this field that have a specialized meaning and the definitions are not universal. Recognizing the need to improve communications in this field, the SDI Panels on Tracking undertook the task of developing a glossary of terms related to target tracking. The emphasis in this glossary is on terms and definitions unique to single and multiple target tracking.!0
