High-Speed MAGLEV in China

摘要

China has very wide territory with more than one billion in population. Its fast developing economy will reach to the level of economies of middle-developed countries in the middle of 21st century. The needs for high-speed passenger transportation are increasing quite rapidly. This paper discusses necessary development strategies for high-speed passenger transportation in the coming years. The paper also summarizes the progress of a high-speed MAGLEV project in Shanghai, China.
