The present article reports summarised findings of the trials carried out at the LithuanianrnInstitute of Agriculture's Perloja Research Station carried out over the period 1994-1997 on Hapli-rnAlbic Luvisoils (soddy podzolic slighty podzolized), sandy loam soil. The experiments were carriedrnout with the purpose is to assess the effect of phosphorus, potassium and their combinations on thernproductivity of the crop rotation plants and soil agrochemical properties in four-field crop rotationrnon light textured soils. The findings of ninth rotation (trials have been continued since 1961), that thernproductivity of unfertilised cultivated crops compared with the optimal fertilisation remains withinrnthe limits of 28,4 %-62,6 %. Potassium is an indispensable component of mineral fertiliserrncombinations for growing of lupine-oats mixture. PK fertiliser combinations do not suit for winterrnrye fertilisation. It is necessary to fertilise potatoes and barley with a complete NPK mineralrnfertiliser combination. Fertilisation with mineral fertilisers only deteriorates soil agrochemicalrnproperties.
