MIGRATION TESTING OF CHLORIDE DIFFUSIVITY IN CONCRETE

Due to an increased interest for production of concrete with a high resistance against chloride penetration, there is a need for reliable test methods that can both properly reflect this resistance and provide a basis for proper performance criteria. Over recent years, much work has been directed toward obtaining chloride diffusion coefficients on the basis of migration testing. In the present paper, the theoretical basis for migration testing of chloride diffusivity in concrete is briefly outlined and the various types of migration testing discussed.
