Framework for Knowledge Management in the New Product Development Process

摘要

Creation, storage, distribution and utilisation are essential phases for effective knowledge management. The cycle of new product development (NPD) requires the integration of people, process and technology at each stage of the development cycle. This paper presents a framework for analysing the stages in NPD against the knowledge management phases. A case study highlights the effectiveness of the framework for management analysis and identifies the role that technology particularly intranets have in enabling the process.
