Analysing the Feasibility for China to Ratify Maritime Labour Convention 2006, in Respect of Legislation on Seafarers in China

摘要

The adoption of the Maritime Labour Convention,2006,by the International Labor Organization,an epoch-making event in the maritime sector,has great impact on international shipping industry. The paper investigates current national legislation in China according to the professional requirements for seafarers as specified in the Convention and discusses the present status of national seafarers' administration in contrast with its compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention,2006,in order to provide some reference for future ratification of the Convention.
