摘要

Replacing metals with lightweight thermoplastic composites has been an increasing trend in therntransportation industry. Assembly of highly reinforced composite components into 3D structuresrnis challenging due to complexity in materials and requirements. This paper presents evaluationrnresults of various welding technologies (ultrasonic, induction, friction) and adhesive bonding forrntheir suitability in joining short carbon fiber reinforced composites containing PPS, PEEK, PEI.
