Ring Hypocicloidal Undulator

摘要

A new theoretical model of an undulator for free electron lasers is presented. The curent undulator structure is a series of hypocicloidal wires. The magnetic field components for each wire present a 120 degree symmetry (for a model with 3 branches). This new treatment of the problem could be extended to the nonlinear dynamical analysis of the electrons in the studied structure.
