This paper presents the industrialized application of preparation of porous ceramics filter using waste drilling mud as principal raw material. The optimal sample is burned at 1060℃ with 60 wt%. waste drilling mud. Its bulk density is 1.78g/cm3,porosity reaches 36.65%,water absorption is 20.62%,crushing strength reaches 12.67MPa,acid resistance is 81.28% and alkali resistance is 97.31%,pores distribute evenly and are three-dimensional bonded,which meet the requirements as a filter medium for water conditioning.
