We consider the problem of sending a single classical bit through a noisy quantum channel, when two uses of the channel are available as a resource. For a quantum channel, the possibility exists of entangling the channel inputs, which of course cannot be done with a classical channel. We show that, for certain noisy quantum channels, such entangled transmissions increase the receiver's probability of a correct inference, above what can be achieved by product state transmissions.
