High cost and uncertainty have been obstacles to successfulrncommercial applications of gel treatment. This study describes arnsystematic series of steps from optimization to uncertainty assessmentrnin the application of gel treatment on various heterogeneous reservoirs.rnInjection design, which corresponds to concentration, slug size,rninjection rate and separate injection, are optimized. It improvesrnmaximum net present value (NPV) over 14% above than base injectionrndesign. By means of Monte Carlo simulation based on sensitivityrnanalysis, uncertainty assessment regarding NPV has revealed that initialrnsaturation, porosity and residual oil saturation are dominatedrnparameters.
