Hydrodynamic Response to a Groin System at Longfengtou Beach, China

摘要

Longfengtou Beach is located in the southwest of Haitan Bay, withrnseveral famous and scenic bathing sites lying on. In this paper, a twodimensionalrnhydrodynamic model is set up based on MIKE21_HD tornsimulate the tidal process there. The model is well calibrated by fieldrndata including water depths, flow velocities and directions measured inrn2012. The calibrated model is adopted to simulate the tidal fields afterrnthe project with the same computational parameters and boundaryrnconditions to evaluate the performance of the project. Therncomputational results demonstrate the interaction of tidal flow and therngroin structures.
