This paper presents a conceptual active control system of natural periodrnof fixed offshore wind turbine structure by installing a water tank inrnupper part of tower in order to meet the natural period requirement ofrnwind turbine. Since the water filled in the tank changes mass and alsorndynamic behavior of structure, structural design is provided in terms ofrnstrength, fatigue and pile bearing assessment considering wind, wavernand current load with appropriate dynamic effect as well as dead load.rnStructural natural period changes and consequential impact onrnstructural design are investigated.
