摘要

TGC (Thixotropic Gel Compaction) method is a new type of staticrncompaction method applied to soil improvement of soft ground tornwhich a special grouting material is injected. In order to examine thernfundamental mechanism of ground densification by TGC method, arnseries of tests using a large calibration chamber and the numericalrnestimation based on the cavity expansion theory were conducted torninvestigate the influence of vertical pressure and injection type onrneffects of ground improvement in this research.
