A 3D numerical model is developed for estimating breaking wavernimpact forces on an inclined cylindrical pile. Because the inclined pilerninstalled in the numerical model, unlike the experiment, is modeled as arnrigid object, it is not possible to make a direct comparison between thernCFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) results and the experimentalrndata. A low pass filter and EMD (Empirical Mode Decomposition) arernemployed for removing the effect of dynamic amplification in thernexperimental data, and the filtered results are compared to thernnumerical results. Based on the results, the effect of the dynamicrnamplification due to the structure's vibration on breaking wave impactrnis discussed.
