摘要

The aim of this paper is to apply classical lifting surface theory forrndetermination of the optimum circulation distribution along a propellerrnblade for the purpose of achieving the highest efficiency for a givenrnthrust. And also, it has been obtained an optimum circulationrndistribution around marine propellers by using PVL (Propeller VortexrnLattice) and PUF (Propeller Unsteady Flow) programs and the resultsrnare compared with those of taken from Mishima and Kinnas (1997). Inrnaddition, different cases such as with/without hub effect and effect ofrnnumber of blades have been examined with PVL and PUF programs,rnand compared with those of Mishima and Kinnas’ results.
