摘要

This paper describes a new control strategyfor improving power quality. A Power quality problem is occurred due to the non linear loads whichresult in the non standard voltage, non sinusoidalcurrent and fluctuation in frequency that cause malfunction of the load side equipments which in turnresults in the financial losses for the industrial loads anddomestic loads. The HYBRID energy system which is the combinationof both Photo Voltaic (PV) cell and wind energy system connected to gridis used to improve the Power Quality.The four leg inverter that acts asActive Power Filter (APF) is given dc supply from the above discussed RES. In this paper a novel controlstrategy is used. The 3-phase, 4-wire Active PowerFilter (APF) can be used in 2-types, 1). The APFis used as power converter to supply the powergenerated from the RES to the grid. 2).The APF tocompensate the current, voltage harmonics of thesystem. The proposes system is simulates in MATLAB/SIMULINK package and results are shownunder linear balanced, unbalanced and Non-linearbalanced, unbalanced loads.
