摘要

In a printed circuit board assembly line, circuit boards usually travel on a conveyer belt through a line of component placement machines, each of which places a number of components on the circuit board. In this paper, the component allocation problem is solved in more practical situation that one component type can be picked up by multiple nozzle types. A genetic algorithm is proposed to simultaneously allocate the component types to nozzle types and work tables of placement machines. Due to the circular interaction between the component allocation problem and machine optimization problem, head allocation, one of operational optimization decisions in the machine optimization problems, is used to calculate the number of turns of each work table for the purpose of evaluating the solutions of component allocation. Several case studies further demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
