“Subak Agung Ho” is one of Balinese farmer traditional organization in Tabanan regency, Bali, Indonesia. The member of “Subak Agung Ho”, called “Krama Subak Agung Ho”, are the farmers who have the field in River Ho Irrigation area. Their fields get water from the same water source that is Ho River. The area of this Subak is around 5.000 hectares with more than 8.000 “Krama Subak” (“Subak” members). The cropping pattern and planting time as well as crop calendars is considered as being important in this study in order to optimized the used of River Ho water for irrigating of the crops.Based on the simulation analysis, by considering the space dimension (Ho River Irrigation Area as the research location) and the time dimension (a half monthly period in a year), we obtained that the planting time of the paddy plant was on the 1st period of October (October 1-15) for the upland group, and on the 2nd period of October for the middle group (October 16-31), and on the 1st period of November for the downstream group (November 1-15). Some treatments suggested that to avoid the risk of water lack (specially on the dry season) and the change of the planting time, the period of land preparation should be shortened become 5-6 days from normally 21-25 days, the area of second crops should be determined maximum 60%, and irrigation interval of the field was three days interval.
